Astronomy event- SkyChat
The Department of Physics organised a one-day seminar and sky watching program. As per the request received from other departments, the sky watch session was opened for students, teachers and public. Faculty members and students from different departments actively participated in the program. Students from nearby schools also presented along with their parents. The programme started with a lecture on ‘Introduction to Astronomy’ by Dr. Vaisakhan Thampi. It was inaugurated by Dr. Nanthyath Gopalakrishnan, Principal. The lecture was followed by a sky-watching session on the college ground. A 6” Newtonian telescope was arranged in association with Kerala State Science and Technology Museum.
